ENRICHED AIR NITROX
Among the many advancements in recreational diving, few generate as much excitement as the use of Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx). As a Nitrox diver, you can extend your bottom time, increase safety margins, and shorten surface intervals. During this specialty you will gain new skills and expand your diving knowledge while learning to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen.

LIONFISH HUNTING / IVANSIVE SPECIES MANAGEMENT
Lionfish are non-native species that are damaging the local ecosystem. They are eating all the small tropical fish, small shrimp and lobsters, so hunting them helps to control their population and save our reefs around Curaçao. In this specialty you will learn how to catch lionfish with a pole spear and also how to clean them afterwards.

Wreck diving is an extraordinary adventure! Over time, numerous vessels have sunk – whether by accident or intentionally – offering exceptional opportunities to explore remnants of human history. These wrecks invite endless discovery, but they also come with their own set of risks. To dive safely around a wreck, divers need to recognize these dangers and possess the knowledge and experience to assess them properly.

However, waves, tides, and currents can influence your dive experience and safety if you’re not prepared to navigate them. The Drift – Wave, Tides and Currents Specialty course is designed to strengthen your skills and boost your confidence in dynamic open water conditions.

An integrated mask-regulator eliminates the mouthpiece, letting you breathe naturally through your nose. It also makes equalizing your ears easier—simply yawn or swallow. Conquer your hesitations and experience a more natural, comfortable way to dive.

You will want to protect and observe them even more after completing the SSI Sea Turtle Ecology specialty program! This specialty program provides the knowledge and tools you need to distinguish between common sea turtle species in their natural habitat. It explores their ancient migration routes, nesting behaviors, and the vital role they play in maintaining healthy seagrass and coral reef ecosystems.

The Decompression Diving Specialty introduces you to diving beyond no-decompression limits. You’ll learn how to plan and execute dives up to 40 meters using your recreational gear and a single decompression cylinder. The course focuses on mastering your dive computer, including switching gases, gas integration, time-to-reserve, and time-to-surface. It’s the perfect step for safely exploring deeper dives with minimal pre-dive planning.

Once mainly used by wreck, cave, and mine divers, sidemount diving is now becoming a popular choice for recreational divers too.
