Every couple of years Albert and Robin visit our beautiful island to stay with family. And to some diving….. One of them is a certified Open Water diver, the other one just like to do Discover Scuba Dives. After a briefing at our dive center Rob took both men to the dive site and did a wonderful dive with us. This time they were so lucky to have a turtle diving with them.

Never been diving yourselves? Call us or send an e-mail and we can schedule a Discover Scuba Dive for you. Who knows what will be diving with you…. We love to take you out and teach you diving.

When you have parents who are divers already the logical thing to do  is start diving yourselves so you can join them on their trips. So did these two boys. They did a Discover Scuba Dive and when they showed their enthousiasm to their parents they were allowed to do a second one. The boys did really well and enjoyed the diving very much. They will get their Junior Open Water certification for sure during another holiday. It’s always so much fun for us to go diving with children, see how easily they do the exercises underwater and enjoy themselves looking at everything the underwater world has to offer!

We met Heiko and Claudia over dinner and started talking. Turned out they did a Discover Scuba Dive already last year and were interested in doing the full Open Water course. Since they were only staying on island for 2 weeks however they thought there would not be enough time. We explained to them that the course can be done in 5 dives and that theory is not so hard, especially because the study material is available in many languages as is the final exam.

Heiko and Claudia decided to do the course with us and enjoyed diving very much. Little by little all nervousness dissapeared, all exercises were ‘mastered’ and the exam was also passed. We enjoyed diving with them and are happy we got another couple hooked on diving!

Diving to the Superior Producer is one of the most beautiful wreck dives you can make in the Carribean. Tim experienced this last Saturday. Tim had been diving with us earlier in the week already and definitely wanted to do a wreck dive as well. Rob went with him to do this adventurous dive. The waves were pretty high, current strong, but al this was forgotten as soon as they saw the wreck and all life around it. Many tarpons, barracuda’s and other fish surrounding the wreck, beautiful corals and sponges growing on the wreck.

Tim was happy he had decided to go diving here, he was impressed by the experience and couldn’t stop talking about it! Want to go diving at the Superior Producer yourself? Contact us so we can schedule your guided dive! (Advanced Open Water certified)

Last Saturday we Rob did a guided dive to Superior Producer. Besides that this is the most beautiful wreck dive in the Caribbean, this was a very special dive because of all the tarpons the divers encountered. Tessa, Chiel en Rob enjoyed looking at the tarpons and were impressed by their numbers. Must have been at least 20 of them! For Tessa and Chiel this dive was the highlight of their vacation.

Superior Producer will be available as a wreckdive, even when the second Mega pier is finished. So don’t worry, if you have not been diving there yet you will have a chance! Just contact us and ask when the next guided dive to Superior Producer is scheduled!

After years of seeing first just her husband and later also her children diving, this year Anja decided to try diving herself. Together with Petricia she did a Discover Scuba Dive. After the briefing at the dive center we went to the beach where we took all the time Anja needed to get control of her breathing through the regulator. At first it was a bit scary for Anja, but after a few times trying to snorkel with the regulator in she got the hang of it and we descended.

Because we do shore dives we can descend very shallow, which makes it easier to equalize the ears. Little by little Anja got more relaxed and started to enjoy her dive. Especially when we found the little seahorse! Who knows, in 2 years, when Anja comes back to visit the island she might do her Open Water course and start diving with her family!

Fabienne

Last year Fabienne started diving, she did the Junior Open Water course with us. This year she came back for some more diving. She choose to do the Junior Advanced Open Water course, to enhance her diving skills. The deep dive was less scary as expected by Fabienne, she brought our instructor back to the beach during the Navigation dive (even though she doubted the compass for a little while) and she had a lot of fun during the PPB and DPV dives. See her diving with the Diver Propulsion Vehicle in this little movie partly shot by her father.

Tonight the last dive of the course is scheduled, the night dive. After this Fabienne will be a certified Junior AOW-diver, who will continue diving as much as she can. We enjoyed diving with you Fabienne, hope to see you again in 2 years!

After hearing stories from their family about diving-fun-at-Curacao this father and his 2 sons wanted to see for themselves. And they had a blast, the boys even said this was the most fun activity they had done during the whole vacation they spend on island. We did a Discover Scuba Dive with them last Tuesday. Diving is relaxing and shows you a complete different world. Diving between the fish, looking at moray eels, playing with the air bubbles, everything is fun. Did you know that if you start the Open Water Course with a group you get a discount on the course fee? Why wait, get a group of friends together and come diving with us!

Today we did a Discover Scuba Dive with Claudia., a guest that came to us via Don Genaro Curacao Appartements. After a briefing at our dive center we went to Lagun for the actual dive. First we did a couple of exercises on the surface, such as recovering the regulator and clear the mask. After snorkeling a little bit so Claudia could get used to breathing from the regulator we decended. Claudia did the exercises again underwater, without any problems. After this we did a fun tour to a maximum depth of 7 meters. Claudia relaxed enough to be able to really enjoy the dive, she even spotted the Octopus you will see in this movie!

Claudia regretted doing the Discover Scuba Dive so late in her stay on island. She promised to come back to the island next year and do the Open Water course!

If you come on vacation to the island and are interested in doing a Discover Scuba Dive, don’t wait until the last couple of days but do it early in your vacation so you have time to do more diving!

Even if you come to the island to do a course that has nothing to do with diving at all, you can manage to get in some dives. Kimberley went diving with us in between here follow up course on Ergo therapy. First she came with a friend for a Discover Scuba Dive for the friend on which she joined as a guided dive. After this dive Kimberley went diving with us for 2 more dives on different dive sites. This movie is the movie Leroy made diving with Kimberley, so see Kimberley diving!

Are you coming to the island anytime soon for a seminar, or just for vacation? Send us an e-mail to schedule your Discover Scuba Dive, Open Water Course or guided dives!

Recently Mischa came to us to do his Advanced Open water course. Diving with Mischa was a lot of fun. Mischa did the deep dive and navigation dive, which are mandatory. Besides these dives he chose to do a Search and Recover dive, a Diver Propulsion Vehicle dive and a night dive. In this movie you see Mischa diving and some of the creatures/fish he encountered during his dives.

Are you open water certified and wondering what the next step can be? Ask us for more information about the PADI or IDD Advanced Open water course. We will gladly tell you all about it!

Every once in a while we make a fun dive ourselves. This time Petricia had a new camera to take pictures so Rob and she went out to test it. Of course Rob brought his own camera as well and whilst Petricia took pictures Rob filmed. During this dive we were lucky to encounter not only turtles, but also 2 frogfishes and some seahorses. All of this not deeper then 9 meters/27 feet. Who said you have to go deep to encounter beautiful things during your dive? Not us, we prefer the shallower dives, where we are always amazed by the diversity of creatures we encounter.

You want to try to encounter these creatures as well during your guided dive? Come dive with us and we will help you find them. We can never guarantee you will encounter anything  though, but we give it our best try!!
